NIS 2 Webinar: Last Call for Registration—Deadline: July 31, 2026
July 23 @ 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Far fewer than the approximately 29,500 companies expected have registered with the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) so far. The BSI has responded by extending the registration deadline to July 31, 2026 .
The NIS 2 regulation presents numerous companies with new requirements regarding cybersecurity, organizational structure, risk management, and executive responsibility. However, many companies are still unsure whether they fall within the regulation’s scope at all and what specific measures they must take.
The statutory deadline for registration has already passed. The BSI has now given affected companies another opportunity to complete their registration by July 31, 2026. Every company should therefore check as soon as possible whether it falls under NIS 2 and whether registration with the BSI is required (scoping assessment).
Anyone who has not yet conducted a final impact assessment or taken the necessary steps to implement the changes should make use of the remaining time.
