Attorney Michael Ullrich, LL.M. (Information Law), is a certified specialist in information technology law and intellectual property law. For over 20 years, he has been advising and representing companies, agencies, software providers, platform operators, public institutions, and local governments in the areas of IT law, data protection law, AI law, copyright and media law, as well as trademarkand competition law.
Key Areas of Practice
Michael Ullrich advises on digital business models, digitalization and technology projects, and regulatory requirements in the digital economy. His practice focuses on IT and software contracts, SaaS and cloud contracts, GDPR and data protection compliance, AI compliance and the AI Act, e-commerce, platform regulation, as well as copyright, trademark, competition, and media law.
He assists clients with contract drafting and negotiation, the implementation of complex technology projects, and the enforcement of their interests both in and out of court. In doing so, he combines legal expertise with technical and business acumen.
Teaching
Michael Ullrich is an adjunct professor of IT law, data protection law, media law, and AI law at FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics & Management in Düsseldorf and Essen.
Education and Qualifications
Michael Ullrich completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Information Law with a focus on e-commerce at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. In recognition of his exceptional theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience, the Düsseldorf Bar Association granted him the authority to use the titles “Specialist Attorney for Information Technology Law” and “Specialist Attorney for Intellectual Property Law.”
