NIS-2 Webinar: Last Call for Registration by July 31, 2026
July 22 @ 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Far fewer than the approximately 29,500 companies expected have registered so far with the Federal Office
for Information Security (BSI). The BSI has responded by extending the registration deadline to July 31, 2026 .
The NIS 2 regulation imposes new cybersecurity requirements on numerous companies,
as well as requirements related to organizational structure, risk management, and executive responsibility. However, many companies
are still unsure whether they even fall within the regulation’s scope—and what
specific measures they need to take.
The statutory deadline for registration has already passed. The BSI has now given affected companies
another opportunity to complete their registration by July 31, 2026. Every
company should therefore check as soon as possible whether it falls under NIS-2 and whether registration with the
BSI is required (scoping assessment).
Anyone who has not yet conducted a final impact assessment or initiated the necessary
implementation steps should make use of the remaining time.
In our webinar“NIS-2: Last Call for Registration by July 31, 2026 – Legal
Requirements: How to Implement Them Correctly,” attorney Michael Ullrich, LL.M., will provide you with a practical overview of the legal
requirements, organizational obligations, and the first necessary implementation steps.
