1. Anonymous Data Collection

 2. Collection and processing of personal data in our information services

When subscribing our newsletter we store your email address and use it for sending the newsletter. Your email address will neither be published nor made available to any third party. At all times you can cancel the subscription via a link attached to all newsletters. We will then delete your email address from our email list. The single articles are made available by linking to our homepage. Here, the anonymous data as listed in section 1 hereof are collected. There is no allocation between the newsletter recipient and the anonymous usage data of our homepage. We expressly do not store any information regarding which newsletter recipient retrieved which information.

3. Cookies

Among other things we use so-called “cookies” on our information pages. These “cookies” are used to optimize our information range and to increase safety. Such “cookies” verify the number of page views as well as the functionality of the page navigation used. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. Partly, cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system. Generally, only so-called “session cookies” are used. “Session cookies” are characterized by the fact that they are automatically removed from your computer system at the end of your browser session. Usually we do not use any permanent cookies. You may naturally reject cookies at all times when your browser provides this function. The help system of your browser informs you regarding blocking options.

4. Use of analysis tools

We do not use any web analysis services that transfer data – even not in anonymous form – in unsafe third-party states, like the USA. Our website uses Piwik, this is a so-called web analysis service. Piwik uses so-called „Cookies”, these are text files that are stored on your computer and that enable us to analyse the website use. For this purpose the information of use, caused by the cookies (including your abbreviated IP address) are transferred to our server and stored for purposes regarding analysis of use, this supports our website optimisation. Your IP address is directly anonymised during this process so that you as a user remain anonymous. The information provided by the cookies concerning your use of this website is not given to any third parties. You can prevent the use of cookies by choosing a respective function of your browser software. However, this may result in you not being able to use all functions of this website to full extent. If you do not want your data being stored and evaluated after your website accesses you can object to the storage and the use subsequently by mouse click. In this case a so-called opt-out cookie is installed on your browser so that Piwik does not collect any data of your browser session.

Note: when you installed the browser function “delete cookies“ for the end of session this results in the opt-out-cookie of Piwik being deleted and you having to activate it again. The same applies to the use of any anonymisation tools, so-called “cleaners“.

Possibility of objection against the use of Piwik: You can decide whether a unique web-analysis cookie can be stored to enable the website operator the collection and analysis of various statistical data. If you do not agree to the storage and evaluation of the data from your access, you may anytime object by mouse click at the end of the data protection information.

5. Use of Facebook plug-ins, Google “+1” and Twitter

On our homepage all buttons connecting to social networks are blocked against precipitated confirmation. When you want to give any recommendation via these networks we previously wish to inform you that already with the first click for recommendation some personal date may be produced and transferred. However, those are not created by our pages but by the operators of the respective social networks. Only when you activate one of your networks, the data is transferred to the respective network.

a) Facebook

We integrated – by activation on your part only – the plug-in of the social network facebook.com (hereinafter “facebook“). Facebook is a company of facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. After you activated the button, the plug-in causes your browser to load and illustrate the plug-in of the facebook server. Hereby the facebook server is informed which page of our internet presence you are visiting. When you are a member of facebook and are logged in at facebook during your visit on our website, then facebook is able to recognise – by the information the plug-in sent – which of our web information you are using and allocates this information to your personal user account. When you use a facebook function like “Like” or provide a comment this is subsequently sent to your user account at facebook and is stored there. In addition, the information that you visited our website is transferred to facebook, independently from you using the plug-in or not. To prevent the storage of your data and your surfing pattern as well as such transfer by facebook you must log out from facebook before visiting our website. In the data protection information of facebook you will find further information regarding the retrieval and use of data by facebook, your respective rights as well as the possibilities of adjustment for the protection of your private sphere.

b) Google “+1“-button

We integrated – by activation on your part only – the “+1“ button of the social network Google+ (Google Plus) of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, 94043 USA, (hereinafter “Google“). After have you activated the button and you click on the “+1“button when you are logged in at Google+ (Google Plus), Google retrieves information regarding your recommended URL, your IP address and other browser information via your Google profile so that your “+1” recommendation can be stored and made available for the public. Your “+1“-recommendation can be displayed as information together with your profile name and your picture in Google services, like in search results or in your Google profile (as “+1“-tab in your Google profile), or anywhere else on websites and internet advertisement. We integrated – by activation on your part only – the functions of Twitter on our website. These functions are offered by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the function “re-tweet” websites visited by you are connected to your twitter account and made available to other users. Hereby, also data are provided to Twitter. We expressly point out that we as the provider of the site do not have either knowledge of the content of the data transferred or of their use by Twitter.
