Attorney Alexander Goldberg is a specialist lawyer for information technology law (IT law) and industrial property rights. He is also a lecturer at the University of Wuppertal for industrial property rights and competition law at the Schumpeter School of Business & Economics and the UNESCO Chair for Entrepreneurship & Intercultural Management at the University of Wuppertal.
Alexander Goldberg has been advising companies and public institutions in Germany and abroad for almost 30 years. A particular focus of his work is providing legal support for complex IT and digitization projects. He assists his clients in the implementation of IT projects, the introduction and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in companies and start-ups, agile software development projects, and AI-supported projects in research and teaching.
Another focus is on providing comprehensive advice to start-ups in all phases of development —from founding to growth and scaling phases to VC readiness. This includes, in particular, the legal structuring of the company, IP and IT legal issues, compliance, data protection, and the preparation and support of financing rounds.
In addition, Alexander Goldberg advises on regulatory requirements in the field of digitalization, in particular on the EU AI Act, EU Data Act, and NIS 2 Directive, including their implementation in corporate practice, IT security structures, and compliance management systems.
His other areas of expertise include supporting tenders and award procedures for IT projects, including security-related and military IT projects, drafting and negotiating IT contracts, drawing up general terms and conditions, legally compliant planning of marketing and sales measures, online trading, and issues relating to internal data protection and compliance.
Alexander Goldberg is a mentor for the high-tech.nrw and supports innovative AI projects and the strategic introduction of new technologies in companies with legal, technical, and practical expertise.
