Security
Email:
The unencrypted transfer of information via the internet entails the risk of information being misdirected and viewed by unauthorised parties.
However, to ensure clients’ data is treated confidentially, the safest possible transfer of data and unique identification of the data source are essential.
Therefore, we only transfer sensitive information in a non-encrypted form at the special and written request of the client.
At present, we are using encryption programmes which are based on the use of two data keys. We make our public key exclusively available to our clients as an email attachment when acting for them.
On request, we use our qualified electronic signatures.
Our qualified electronic signatures have been produced and assigned by the National Association of Notaries as a provider of certification services and meet the safety requirements of the German Digital Signature Act.
The National Association of Notaries; Burgmauer 53; D-50667 Cologne, was accredited with the quality mark RegTP, No. Z0003, as a provider of certification services by the Federal Network Agency on 14 December 2000.
Of course, all our computer systems which are connected with the internet as well as the software and transfer files are constantly checked for viruses. To protect the databases, our intranet is completely separated from our access servers. System security is continuously upgraded to meet the latest level of technology.
Should you have any queries relating to data security within the scope of client care, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Alexander Goldberg, lawyer specialising in industrial property rights and information technology law (IT law), Wuppertal.
